After more than two years of intense work, todoListo is finally released! You find the updated website with a link to the program at todo-listo.app.

And the best: you can use todoListo for free! The only restriction of the footloose version is that your to-do list resides on one computer. If you want more comfort, choose the connected version, in which you pay for the data storage on our server, which allows you to access them from anywhere on any device.

Regardless of whether you decide to use todoListo yourself: please spread the word!

todoListo now has a YouTube channel and the first videos are online! This channel provides usage tips, news and background stories. It also explores general topics around self-organization, decision-making and how to deal with information overload, change and uncertainty.

todoListo is a browser-based application. This means it runs on any operating system and device. By default, however, you have to execute a few more steps to open it: open a browser, navigate to a website and launch the application. Luckily there are a few tricks to simplify this workflow and make todoListo—or any other web application—feel more like installed software:

• Install todoListo on your phone
  On mobile devices (and with some browsers even on desktop computers) you can install todoListo as a Progressive Web App (PWA), meaning that it will be shown like a normal app on your deck or desktop. The process depends on the browser you are using. In Chrome, for instance, you open the todoListo application from the website and choose the menu option install app.
• Bookmark the web app
  You do not have to take the way through the website every time you start todoListo. The two versions of the application have their own URLs. Just add a bookmark in your browser when you have the application running.
• Pin a tab for todoListo
  A relatively new feature that is now available in most browsers: a pinned tab is smaller than a normal tab so it doesn't take away that much space and can easily be distinguished from the tabs you open for normal browsing. And those tabs are always opened on startup. This way you don't forget to open todoListo and it is always handy. Just open todoListo in a normal browser tab, then right click the tab and choose Pin Tab.
• Configure todoListo as your default website
  The more traditional alternative to pinning a tab is to configure a default website that is opened when the browser starts. If you have several browsers installed, you can choose to use one of them only for todoListo. Add a shortcut on your desktop or a keyboard combination to start this browser and you have your todoListo standalone version!
